Dick Welle has been with the Nine Mile / RTS Hunting crew since 2014, but has guided for 35 years. Now that he’s retired from a job as CEO/GM at the local Rural Electric Coop, he is ready and willing to do whatever needs to be done.

When he’s not guiding or serving on one of many boards, he enjoys hunting whitetail deer, fishing, and camping. He has hunted and fished abroad (Africa, New Zealand, Mexico and Canada) and in much of the western United States. Dick is a people person and his favorite thing about guiding is meeting and conversing with the wide variety of people who come to hunt, and contributing to their experience. When asked whether he prefers to guide a seasoned hunter or a “newbie,” Dick says, “Both,” explaining that all clients bring their own desires and challenges. Part of the guiding experience is figuring out a person’s next level – how you can achieve success and add positively to the experience.

Dick works primarily at the RTS Hunting / Ranching For Wildlife operation. Dick says, “I have been around a few hunting camps and outfitters.
